Trophies

I was reading some stuff about Rob Machado who happens to be my favorite surfer ever.  The guys just rips!  Anyways he was talking about all the trophies and stuff he’s won but basically said that they didn’t really mean a whole lot to him.  He actually takes the majority of his trophies and just throws them out and if you know anything about Rob, he’s won some cool stuff in his days.

Anyways, he had this to say, “I went to Tom Curren’s house and was sitting in his backyard. He went inside and a little shiny flowerpot caught my eye. I looked closer at the dirty, rusty, gold-colored pot and saw a little plaque that was covered in dirt. It said 1990 ASP World champion. His World Championship cup is now a dirty flowerpot. That pretty much puts trophies into perspective.”

How awesome is that!
