diet what?

Posted in Randomness by bradbarbour on January 2, 2008

Okay Dave has me pretty sold out to doing this thing called the lemonade diet.  It’s also called the master cleanse diet.  First off, I’m not doing this to lose weight at all.  I only weigh 150 as I am.  Anyways I want to do this to cleanse out my system.  I’m trying to start eating better and what could be a better way to start than cleaning out all the old crap.  Here’s the breakdown…

  • 10 day fast
  • Drink 1 liter of salt water every morning (you better be near a bathroom about an hour later)
  • About every hour during the day you drink a mixture of water, lemon juice, maple syrup, and cayenne pepper.  Yeah you heard that right.

They say you poop water for the first few days and then start pooping out solid again.  Where’s the solids come from you may ask?  It’s all the built up that’s been stuck in your system all these years!  I want to know has anyone ever done this or even heard of it?  I’m pretty nervous.

Just a quick word of advice. I spoke to a friend who did it last night and said you don’t want to fart during this “cleanse” because you will probably have more than a bad smell to deal with.

    (change of clothes)

But rock on with your bad self!

I found this on the internet so take it with a grain of HCL (ha ha science joke!!!…I am a dork)

Humans can’t drink salt water because the kidneys can only make urine that is less salty than salt water. Therefore, to get rid of all the excess salt taken in by drinking salt water, you have to urinate more water than you drank, so you die of dehydration.

I came to your blog through Tony Morgan – you’re famous! – and this is the first thing I read here. So gross but so awesome.

I’ve added you to my RSS – looking forward to more good stuff.

I came to you through Tony Morgan too. This cleanse does not sound healthy to me. Don’t hurt yourself, you have a job to do. :)
I started a cleanse on January 1. Lots of veggies and fruit. I’ll let you know how it works.
